Developed by IMMG · First solution in the HomeLab series
An accessible POCT solution for patients and healthcare organisations
TromboCheck is the first solution in the HomeLab product series, developed by IMMG. IMMG is preparing to manufacture TromboCheck in Kazakhstan.

What is TromboCheck
A simple, clear solution
TromboCheck is designed not as an overly complex system but as a simple, clear and accessible POCT solution in the field of haemostasis — for the people and organisations who need it.
The project’s practical goal is to bring a necessary test closer to the patient and the point of care, so that it does not depend solely on laboratory infrastructure.

Its place in HomeLab
The first step of the product series
TromboCheck opens the HomeLab series and supports IMMG’s long-term mission to advance prevention and healthcare.
Why POCT
Why access to testing near the patient matters
Accessibility
The solution should be available to those who need it.
Clarity
A simple, straightforward format without unnecessary complexity.
Closer to the patient
Use near the patient, not only in a central laboratory.
Practical use
Focused on the real tasks of patients and healthcare organisations.
Haemostasis
Haemostasis: the balance between thrombosis and bleeding
Haemostasis is the body’s system that helps stop bleeding and prevent unnecessary blood clots. This balance can be disturbed in either direction.
Excessive clotting
Thrombosis

- Ischaemic stroke
- VTE / PE

Thrombosis and cardiovascular disease — general statistics
1 in 4
According to World Thrombosis Day, an initiative founded by the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), 1 in 4 people worldwide die from conditions related to thrombosis.
19.8 million
According to WHO estimates, cardiovascular diseases caused 19.8 million deaths in 2022 — around 32% of all deaths worldwide.
85% of cardiovascular deaths were due to heart attack and stroke.
Source: World Health Organization — Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs)
1 in 4
According to WHO, 1 in 4 adults is predicted to experience a stroke in their lifetime.
Ischaemic stroke is caused by blocked blood flow; haemorrhagic stroke is caused by bleeding.
Venous thromboembolism
≈25%
According to the CDC, sudden death is the first symptom in about a quarter of people with pulmonary embolism.
CDC statistics refer to data from the United States.
> 1/3
More than a third of VTE cases diagnosed each year are related to a recent hospitalisation. The CDC describes VTE as a leading cause of preventable hospital death in the United States.
Bleeding risk
The other side of haemostasis. Clotting disorders can involve not only excessive clot formation but also a reduced ability of the blood to clot, which increases the risk of prolonged or heavy bleeding.

What this means for TromboCheck
These figures describe the scale of the medical problem, not the capabilities of a specific device. TromboCheck’s functions, indications and specifications will be published only after they are confirmed by documentation.
This section explains why the field matters. It is not a claim that TromboCheck can diagnose or prevent the conditions listed.
The scale of haemostasis disorders highlights the importance of accessible, clear tools that can be used closer to the patient. This is the field in which IMMG is creating TromboCheck — the first solution in the HomeLab series.

Abbreviations
- AMI
- acute myocardial infarction
- Stroke
- an acute disturbance of blood supply to the brain. A stroke can be ischaemic — caused by blocked blood flow — or haemorrhagic — caused by bleeding
- VTE
- venous thromboembolism — the umbrella term for DVT and PE
- DVT
- deep vein thrombosis
- PE
- pulmonary embolism
- POCT
- point-of-care testing — testing near the patient or where care is provided

Manufacturing in Kazakhstan. A project goal, not an achieved result
Growing the HomeLab series
Developing the next accessible medical solutions within the HomeLab product series.
TromboCheck is approaching production. IMMG is steadily preparing the device, its documentation and the production site in Kazakhstan.
The roadmap reflects the current development plan and may be refined as technical and regulatory stages are completed.

Where it will be made
Manufacturing TromboCheck in Kazakhstan
Production is planned at a site in the Akmola Region. Preparation is under way: documentation, device configuration and organisation of the production process.
- IMMG is currently preparing TromboCheck for production. The product is not yet manufactured in series, sold or supplied.
- Technical specifications, regulatory status and timelines will be published only once confirmed.
Questions and answers
Frequently asked questions about TromboCheck
Who is developing TromboCheck?
TromboCheck is developed in-house by IMMG, a company based in Kazakhstan, and is the first solution in its HomeLab product series. The 3D prototype of the device was created together with technology partner Alwex.
What stage is the project at?
The project is at the production preparation stage. The next status update is on 30.10.2026. Serial production, sales and supply have not yet started.
Where will TromboCheck be manufactured?
In Kazakhstan. IMMG is preparing a production site in Nauchny settlement, Shortandy District, Akmola Region.
Who is the device being created for?
For patients and healthcare organisations. TromboCheck is designed as a clear POCT solution that can be used closer to the patient and the point of care.
